Experience and Biography

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sacramento State University, I earned a Masters Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from San Jose State University..

I began my career with Specialty Restaurants Corporation (“SRC”),  which is a national restaurant industry leader with $120 million of annual sales through 14 states, specializing in fine-dining and high-volume banquets. In 1995 I progressed to Vice President of Operations where I was responsible for the operations of all the restaurants and successfully increased Revenue and profitability. I provided executive management to over 100 senior personnel as well as 100 to 150 staff at each of the restaurant locations.

As a problem-solver for SRC, I soon established a track record for consistent performance and received recognition for my numerous achievements. My management experience was instrumental in turning around several problematic locations. My successes in Revenue were due, in large part, to the implementation of specific marketing initiatives, sales training programs and intense community and charitable involvement. As an active member in many Chambers of Commerce, I always participated in community promotions exposing my employer to greater marketing opportunities.
